Meet Mr David Powers, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Mr David Powers is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist expertise in conditions affecting the hand and upper limb. He has worked at the local NHS Trust for over ten years and is Clinical Director for the Head, Neck and Orthopaedics Unit.
Mr Powers graduated from Dundee University in 1996 before undertaking his basic surgical training at the first National Trauma Centre in Stoke-on-Trent.
He completed higher surgical training in Oswestry and the West Midlands deanery before obtaining his FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2008.
Mr Powers then undertook a prestigious upper-limb fellowship with the Auckland regional hand trauma service in New Zealand, gaining further specialist experience across all aspects of hand trauma and complex, chronic hand conditions.
